Horticulture, value for all

Our activities at AGRIS include research, development, production and marketing of propagating material, as well as the AGRIS Horticulture Chain, which includes consulting services in the areas of cultivation and Contract Farming.

Quality, Safety, Product Stability and Delivery Reliability define our service and guarantee an excellent collaboration with us. The production of quality vegetables enhances proper nutrition and strengthens competitiveness. It contributes to the health of individuals and society.

This is the meaning of sustainability and at AGRIS it is the core of our corporate culture, yielding results that are more important than the company itself, as it leads to actual development and creates value for all.

We apply this holistic philosophy to every area of our sector, developing horticultural products and services that serve every link in the chain, reliably and qualitatively.

Growers, the market and consumers need good yields, know-how and quality vegetables, and AGRIS covers this need with quality-guaranteed propagating material and solutions that strengthen collaborations, support nature and improve the competitiveness of the field.

In particular:

  • It examines the unique bioclimatic characteristics of an area, and develops and recommends specialised and customised solutions that benefit the environment, producers, consumers and, by extension, society.

  • It imports and sells the most productive horticultural hybrids.

  • It produces and sells reliable seedlings - own-rooted, grafted, double-stem, hydroponic plants.

  • It connects agricultural production to the markets through Contract Farming agreements.

  • It guides producers by providing responsible technical advice.

  • It provides an overall service by offering an integrated Horticulture proposal that connects the links in the chain and strengthens sustainability.

  • It contributes to research and the future of Horticulture in Southeast Europe.

Dynamic Investment Plan

In the last six years, a 6,000,000 euro investment plan has been producing results, making AGRIS Southeast Europe's dominant player in the Horticulture sector.

The objectives of our investment strategy are:

  • innovation in the area of propagating materials through scientific research and constant modernisation
  • expansion to and establishment in markets abroad
  • positive numbers and economic development
  • the development of our sector

To date, substantial funds have been invested in the company's organisational structures, as well as in the improvement of production.

We have modernised the company's first production facility in Klidi Imathia, through:

  • the creation of ten model healing chambers for grafted seedlings
  • and new systems for heating, irrigation, plant spacing and the monitoring of production
  • We have built a new seedlings production facility in Ierapetra, Crete.
  • We have completed the staffing of the AGRIS Bulgaria and AGRIS Romania subsidiaries with qualified personnel.
  • We have created a new Trial Station at Trifylia, Messenia, which is open to visitors.
